Veteran script writer Renji Panicker, unites for the first time with Joshy in his second film Nasrani starring Mammootty in the lead. The film tells the story of a typical 'Achayan' from a Christian family in Central Kerala.
Nasrani revolves around the life of a rich planter, David John Kottaram, a Syrian Christian estate owner whose luxurious life style turns upside down when his beloved ones are affected by certain incidents. Mammootty plays the role of the protagonist David John Kottaram. The films with Mammootty in similar roles has always been huge hits. Vimala Raman and Mukta are the two heroines of the film. Vijaya Raghavan, Kalabhavan Mani, Jagathy and KPAC Lalitha appear in prominent roles. The film also has Bharat Gopi, Biju Menon, Lalu Alex, Captain Raju, Sai Kumar, Siddique, Augustine, Saddique, Sukumari etc.
The film is produced by Rajan (Doha) under the banner of Horizon Entertainment. The film is shot in and around Kochi, Kottayam and Pala. Bijilal composes music for the songs penned by Anil Panachu. Shaji wields the camera for the film. The film is slated for release in August during the Ramzan and is brought to the theaters by Marikkar Films.
Ranjit's punch line dialogues and Joshy's direction is sure going to be a treat for Mammootty fans!
